A Message From the President

It is an honor and a privilege to represent the 62 elected district attorneys across New York State as president of the District Attorneys Association of the State of New York.

Last year, under the guidance of Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore, DAASNY made great strides. New York State will benefit immeasurably from some of the legislative accomplishments achieved this year that will enhance public safety, such as expanded use of the DNA databank, innovative new domestic violence laws, and new protections for people with developmental disabilities. Over the coming year, I will continue the thoughtful work of the past presidents of DAASNY with the goal of supporting prosecutors around the state while they work to keep our communities safe and strong.
